Legislators Re-Think Transportation in the Merrimack Valley

Join MVPC as Legislators participate in a round-table discussion on transportation issues in the Merrimack Valley sponsored by the Merrimack Valley TMA and the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce. No one knows what the transportation network will look like/function when the “new normal” comes about. Teleworking will likely continue at higher levels than what we saw last year, but not at the levels we’re seeing now. Congestion will increase, but by how much? As an MPO, we need to be able to track these behaviors and even to predict them. This Roundtable should help us to do that.

Merrimack River at Risk – Virtual Movie Night

On August 26th, the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) and Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG), co-hosted a screening of  "The Merrimack- River at Risk" a new documentary film by renowned filmmaker Jerry Monkman, and produced by the Society for the Protection of NH Forests. The film explores the central role the Merrimack plays in the past, present and future of the region. The screening was followed by a question and answer session with Forest Society President, Jack Savage and Education Director, Dave Anderson and the filmmaker, Jerry Monkman.
