Merrimack Valley July Unemployment Snapshot
July numbers have recently been released. In some welcome news unemployment is down in all fifteen of our communities.
Merrmack Valley Receives Green Communities Grants
The Baker-Polito administration recently awarded $13 million in Green Communities Grants to Massachusetts cities and towns. In the Merrimack Valley, Andover, Boxford, Merrimac, Newburyport, North Andover and West Newbury received awards to fund clean energy projects.
U.S. Dept. of Commerce Invests $400k in Merrimack Valley
Federal support is vital for the Merrimack Valley. The economic fallout of COVID-19 has been devastating for the region, particularly for small businesses. This funding will support the important economic recovery and resiliency efforts necessary in building a stable and more equitable economy.
The Merrimack: River at Risk – Virtual Viewing
MVPC, Northern Middlesex Council of Governments, and Society for the Protection of NH Forests present a virtual viewing of “The Merrimack- River at Risk”.
