Opportunity for Public Comment Period
L’Arche Boston North has received a loan from Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) EPA Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF), to remediate environmental contamination the former A-1 Deli, 88-92 Merrimack Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts. A draft Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) is currently available for review and comment. The ABCA identifies the proposed environmental cleanup to be conducted. The ABCA and all available previous environmental assessment documents for the Site can be reviewed at the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission at 160 Main Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts. Files can be reviewed Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Electronic copies of previous reports can be requested from and comments on the draft ABCA can be submitted in writing to Credere Associates, LLC, 776 Main Street, Westbrook, Maine 04092, Attention: Ms. Moira Wentworth at (207) 828-1272 x36 or [email protected]. The public comment period for these documents begins November 7, 2025 and ends December 7, 2025. A Public Meeting Open House concerning the draft ABCA and on the proposed remediation of property will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5:30PM to 6:30PM at the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission at 160 Main Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts. Translation services will be available. Public comments on the draft ABCA and on the proposed remediation will also be accepted at this meeting.
