Housing Strategy

In 2017, the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) was awarded funds from the Commonwealth Community Compact Cabinet and MassHousing programs to develop the first Regional Housing Plan for the Merrimack Valley. The goal of the plan is to develop a strategy for meeting the housing needs of today’s and tomorrow’s residents in the region. Using current data, population projections, and state-of-the-art mapping, the Merrimack Valley worked collaboratively with each community in the region to understand their housing needs, set goals, and craft appropriate, tailored strategies that address their needs over the next five years.
