Combined Sewage Overflows

The Merrimack River Watershed Council has been awarded funding from the state legislature and the Department of Environmental Protection to help develop regional solutions to the Merrimack River’s combined sewer overflows (CSOs). This funding will go toward a variety of projects aimed at providing new scientific data about Merrimack River CSO events, investigating new technology for improved bacteria testing and outreach.
