The Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program (RCN) is a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) that combines the Reconnecting Communities Pilot (RCP) with the Neighborhood Access and Equity (NAE) program. These grants will make disadvantaged communities their top priority, and aim to improve access to jobs, education, healthcare, food, and recreation. Another aim is to remove or mitigate highway layouts to help communities that have been disconnected from other communities by these roads reconnect. The three types of grants this NOFO facilitates are Capital Construction, Community Planning, and Regional Partnerships Challenge.
