May is Bike Month and what a great month to celebrate it with the weather warming up and everyone eager to get outside.
Biking is more popular than ever, so popular that there is actually a global shortage of bikes. As biking continues to become more popular communities across Massachusetts are making their roads more bike-friendly and expanding bike paths on old rail lines. Recently MVPC’s own Community and Economic Development Planner, Nate Robertson, took to the streets and biked the same route Paul Revere took during his famed “Midnight Ride”. Nate was joined by State Representative Andy Vargas, Noah Koretz from MassDevelopment, and Matt Juros from the Haverhill Chamber and Fishbrook Design. The group started at Dr. Joseph Warren’s House and then hit Paul Revere’s House, the Midnight Ride Monument, Revere Park, Bunker Hill, Royall House, and Slave Quarters, and finished at the Lexington Battle Green.
