The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission is charged with spearheading the regions Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) every five years. The CEDS has the potential to be a true road map that brings together many voices from your region to form a common vision for economic prosperity and resilience. The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission’s 2018-2023 CEDS took a new and innovative approach which was recognized as a best practice by the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO).
NADO reached out to us at the MVPC to get more information about our CEDS process and how it was received in the community. This is part of a national effort to highlight innovative best-practices throughout the country. Our feedback was used to provide valuable information to communities across the United States as they undergo their own strategic planning processes. MVPC is proud to have our regions worked highlighted on the National stage and be used as an example for others to follow.
