Provide communities with comprehensive land use planning services, as well as, existing housing and housing production planning.
Site Selection and Analysis
We are well positioned to identify key parcels that can accommodate new development and growth.
Business Inventory and Industry Research
MVPC maintains a database of all of the businesses in the region which can be used to do targeted industry analysis.
Priority Development Area Identification and Promotion
Work with our municipalities on identifying and promoting key areas that can accommodate growth and add value to the region.
Zoning Analysis and Recommendations
Provide comprehensive land use and existing zoning analysis and making recommendations based on land use best-practices.
Business Development/Marketing Efforts
Clearinghouse for business support services, financing, and other programs available in the region. Capable of marketing and branding the regions unique assets.
Cultural Planning and Asset Mapping
Working with regional stakeholders to identify and organize the arts and cultural ecosystems within the Merrimack Valley.
Permitting Guide Development
Demonstrated history of permitting analysis and making recommendations on permit systems and streamlining.
Market/Demographic Data Development and Analysis
Capable of gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing vast quantities of real estate, business, demographic, and housing data into presentable and compelling forms.
Small Business Loan Programs

Citizen Planner Training Collaborative Engagement
Working with regional stakeholders to identify and organize the arts and cultural ecosystems within the Merrimack Valley.
Ongoing Support
The work of the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission is made possible thanks to an annual grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) under the U.S. Department of Commerce. EDA seeks to drive innovation and competitiveness, preparing American regions for growth and success in the worldwide economy. We are proud to work with EDA to support and promote business within our region.
