Beginning last fall, MVPC has been working alongside the region’s 15 cities and towns to update their individual Housing Production Plans (HPP). A critical component of these plan updates is gathering community input, in addition to discussion from municipal planning staff to inform the public of the housing-related work that has taken place over 5 years since the last HPP was completed.
MVPC, in partnership with the Consensus Building Institute (CBI) and each of the region’s 15 cities and towns, will be hosting a series of three virtual community engagement sessions to spark the housing conversation across the region. These sessions are grouped sub-regionally, where participants from multiple communities will tune-in for a main plenary presentation about the current housing status of the region, followed by breakout sessions for each individual community where participants have the opportunity to share their aspirations, concerns, and observations regarding housing with planning staff from their home municipality.
Please see the graphic above for more information on each cohort, when each session is occurring, and how to register. We hope to see you there, and to hear your voice about your vision for housing across the Merrimack Valley!
