On Tuesday, April 12th, MVPC Administrative, and Community and Economic Development staff toured the new home of Jessica’s Brick Oven in Methuen. Owner Nabil Boghos led staff on a comprehensive tour of the new facility, previously located in North Andover, and recently moved to Methuen to accommodate rapidly expanding operations. Part of this move was in response to merging with the former Boston’s Best Cookie company, as well as in response to increased demand and sales during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since moving to the Methuen location, Mr. Boghos continues to form new partnerships with distributors including Market Basket and Trader Joe’s, and is seamlessly keeping up with ever-increasing demand by adding new bakery product lines ranging from fresh-baked bread to specialty cookies.
Jessica’s Brick Oven has formed a close partnership with MVPC as a continuing beneficiary of the Merrimack Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Revolving Loan Fund. Using funds from this program, Mr. Boghos has been able to purchase much needed automated equipment to streamline the bakery’s production process. MVPC is proud to partner with local businesses such as Jessica’s Brick Oven to support the growing network of local manufacturing and small businesses in the Merrimack Valley. The MVPC staff was grateful for the tour, as it was an informative and sweet visit.
