MVPC is delighted to welcome Noah Berger to the Merrimack Valley as he takes the helm as the new Administrator of the MVRTA.

With 30 years of experience in the business, Mr. Berger brings a wealth of knowledge and ideas. Prior to joining the MVRTA, he worked at the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, Connecticut Transit, the Greater Hartford Transit District, and the Federal Transit Administration.

The MVRTA provides fixed-route service and paratransit service in the Merrimack Valley as well as commuter bus service to Boston.  An important part of the transportation network, the MVRTA provides essential services to people accessing jobs, school, grocery shopping, doctor appointments, and more.  To learn more about the MVRTA service go to www.mvrta.com.

Farewell to Joe Costanzo

On July 30, MVPC and regional leaders bade a fond farewell to Joe Costanzo as he retired from the MVRTA after a distinguished 40 years of service to the region.  Mr. Costanzo had been with the MVRTA since its inception, building it from the ground up to where it is today — providing upward of 2 million rides per year at its height.

Prior to joining the MVRTA, Mr. Costanzo worked as a transportation planner at MVPC where his accomplishments included helping to create the MVRTA.  Mr. Costanzo has been a solid partner and always dedicated to the Merrimack Valley region communities.  We thank him not only for his contribution to transportation but also for his part in helping so many people.
