MVPC would like to congratulate Commissioner Rebecca Oldham on being appointed as the first director of Groveland’s Economic Development, Planning, and Conservation Department. Created by the Board of Selectman in January of 2021, the newly established department will provide an opportunity to further technical planning assistance and public engagement, as well as provide support and insight into land development within the town.
Since joining as a town planner in 2018, Rebecca has worked on a variety of projects and secured funding that has furthered Groveland’s resiliency. As the MVPC Groveland Commissioner since 2018, Rebecca has taken an active role in working with MVPC to complete projects such as a comprehensive sidewalk inventory, assisting with the development of an open space and trail monitoring app, and championing the Groveland Community Trail for inclusion on the 2021-2025 MVMPO Transportation Improvement Plan. Additionally, she was instrumental in the implementation of Cartegraph OMS, a pavement management system that MVPC Transportation and GIS worked with the Town of Groveland to take advantage of pavement inspections as they take place.
With so much great work being done in a few short years, we look forward to seeing what lies ahead for Rebecca and Groveland’s new Economic Development, Planning, and Conservation Department. Congratulations Commissioner Rebecca Oldham and we look forward to continuing to work closely with you!
