The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission is seeking to upgrade its existing Pavement Management software (CarteGraph) to Cartegraph Operations Management System (OMS).
The new OMS for CarteGraph offers several improvements over the version of the software that MVPC currently uses. The MVPC pavement management system would be moving to a more contemporary cloud-based data architecture and by using this approach and the integration with ArcGIS Online, pavement data managed within CarteGraph OMS will be available to other MVPC applications including mobile apps, MIMAP and Story Maps. CarteGraph OMS also includes directly integrated mobile applications so data collection in the field can be conducted more rapidly and with less propensity for data entry errors. With the CarteGraph OMS now utilizing ESRI and ArcGIS Online, the system architecture is consistent with resources currently utilized by MassDOT which offers the potential for greater collaboration and data sharing between MassDOT and MVPC in the future.
To facilitate this change, the MVMPO is proposing to reduce the funding amounts shown in 10 tasks contained in the FFY 2020 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). These reductions are shown in red in the above table. The $10,100 in funding reductions will be added to Task 2.2 Regional Pavement Management Program.
