Notice is hereby given of the Availability of
the following Draft documents for public review and comment:
Draft Amendment # 6 to the Merrimack Valley
Metropolitan Planning Organization (MVMPO) Federal Fiscal Years (FFYs) 2020-2024
Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) March 2020
and
Draft Amendment # 1 to the FFY 2020 MVMPO
Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) March 2020
The TIP is a Federally-mandated
document that programs Federal transportation funding in the region. The TIP
provides a brief description of each road or transit project along with
estimates of cost and the year that it will likely be advertised for
construction. Any transportation project that will use federal transportation
funds must be in the TIP. In addition, the MVMPOs Public
Participation Plan satisfies the Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authoritys
public participation process for the development of its Program of Projects.
The UPWP presents information on the transportation
planning activities that will be carried out in the MVMPO region over the
federal fiscal year (October 1, 2020 September 30, 2021). Most of these
analyses and studies will be conducted by the transportation planning staff of
the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission. However, other important studies that
impact the region, including studies conducted by other agencies, are also
identified and briefly described.
