MVPC paves the way

When you’re traveling the highways, byways and trails of the Merrimack Valley, do you think about how the roads intersect? How they link together, creating an intricate pattern to get you from Point A to Point B?

We do.

A strong and cohesive transportation network is essential to the economic vitality and livability of our region, and MVPC plays a pivotal role in shaping the transportation network in the entire Valley. Through data collection and analysis, and collaborating with our member communities and MassDOT, we work to ensure federal funding is used wisely to advance local and regional transportation needs.

Secretary Pollack with commissioners november 30, 2017At MVPC’s November 30th Community Economic Development Study meeting, Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack delivered a rousing speech chock- full of progress being made toward delivering reliable transportation system that is important for what it does – making life better for people, including getting them to jobs and school.  Watch the video and hear more about MassDOTs priorities and the impacts on the transportation network now and in the future.
