Collective Procurement

ImmaculateMunicipalsweeping43The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) encourages collaboration and cooperation between its member communities.  Working with the MVPC, the Mayors and Town Managers of the member communities have directed their staffs to find new and creative ways of collaborating to reduce staff work load and bring cost savings to the general public.  One of these efforts involves the Departments of Public Works Directors coming together for a collective procurement of roadway  maintenance services.

crack-filling-2-superior-sealcoatLast year, the MVPC on behalf of MVPC participating municipalities (Amesbury, Boxford, Lawrence, Merrimac, Newburyport, Salisbury, and West Newbury) had solicited bids from qualified firms for roadway maintenance services, including:catch basin cleaning, street sweeping, random crack sealing, pavement markings, guardrail replacement, and bituminous concrete for patching.  Below, one can find the Invitation For Bids for those services and the bid results from the vendors.
